# The Answer Report The Answer Report measures how legible a business website is to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, publishes the score, sells the fix, and re-checks it every month. It is a product of Vonzie Studio, a registered Dutch sole proprietorship, and is reached by email at hello@theanswerreport.com. ## What we do We fetch a website the way a plain AI crawler does, without running JavaScript, and run a fixed set of weighted checks across four categories: crawl access, structured data, legibility, and contactability. Each check quotes the exact page content behind its result, so every point is traceable to evidence. The audit is deterministic: the same site scored twice returns the same number. We publish our own audit score on the site, produced by the same engine every audited business gets. We would rather show an honest number than a flattering one. ## What we do not do We do not blend visibility into readiness. Whether an AI assistant actually names a business is a separate probe, reported on its own. Off-site reputation signals such as reviews are on the roadmap and are not part of any score today. ## Key pages - [Front page](/): what The Answer Report is, the free live audit, and the current edition. - [Methodology](/methodology): the four categories and weights, how evidence works, the determinism and complete-sample rules, score versioning, and the removal policy for edition pages. - [Editions](/editions): every city edition in one list, grouped by what the cohort covers and newest first, with each edition's audit date, cohort size, and cohort average. Start here to pick a city. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Austin, TX](/editions/austin-tx-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 63 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Austin, audited 17 July 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Nashville, TN](/editions/nashville-tn-wedding): AI-readiness scores for wedding vendors around Nashville, audited 23 July 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Charleston, SC](/editions/charleston-sc-wedding): AI-readiness scores for wedding venues around Charleston, audited 30 July 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Savannah, GA](/editions/savannah-ga-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 43 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Savannah, audited 4 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Asheville, NC](/editions/asheville-nc-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 47 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Asheville, audited 4 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, New Orleans, LA](/editions/new-orleans-la-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 52 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around New Orleans, audited 6 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Phoenix, AZ](/editions/phoenix-az-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 47 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Phoenix, audited 6 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Chattanooga, TN](/editions/chattanooga-tn-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 46 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Chattanooga, audited 11 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Wedding Vendors, Greenville, SC](/editions/greenville-sc-wedding): AI-readiness scores for 41 wedding officiants, planners, and venues around Greenville, audited 11 August 2026. - [The Answer Report: Home Services, Phoenix, AZ](/editions/phoenix-az-home-services): AI-readiness scores for 60 HVAC companies, plumbers, and electricians around Phoenix, audited 12 August 2026. - [The AI-Ready 90+ honor rolls](/awards/austin-tx-wedding): one page per city edition listing the businesses that scored 90 or higher out of 100 on the day we audited that city, with the seal each may display. Qualification is derived from the stored audits, never chosen, and a city where nobody cleared the bar has no page at all. - [Findings](/findings): standalone evidence pieces read across editions. - [The invisibility count](/findings/wedding-vendors-invisible-to-ai): we asked ChatGPT and Claude about 173 wedding vendors across Austin, Nashville, and Charleston; 153 were never named in any stored answer. - [The Cloudflare defaults](/findings/cloudflare-defaults-hide-you-from-ai): how two platform defaults, managed robots.txt and email obfuscation, hid a working website from AI readers, and the 60 to 93 audit delta from turning them off. - [The directory count](/findings/ai-names-directories-not-local-businesses): we counted 5,904 stored AI answers across nine city cohorts; 63 percent of the answers to "who should I hire" questions named a wedding directory, against 10 percent of the answers to "where should I get married". ## Guides Plain-language answers to the questions a business owner would type into an AI assistant. A guide explains what the editions and findings already prove; it states no number that is not published elsewhere on this site, and each page prints the sources its figures trace to. - [Guides](/guides): every guide in one list, newest first, each with the exact question it answers. - [Why ChatGPT doesn't recommend your business](/guides/why-doesnt-chatgpt-recommend-my-business): why assistants name a directory instead of a local business, what our audits keep finding behind that, and the fixes worth doing first. - [How to check what AI says about your business](/guides/how-to-check-what-ai-says-about-your-business): how to ask the assistants about your own business, how to read the answer, and what to record so a later check is comparable. - [What llms.txt is, and whether you need one](/guides/what-is-llms-txt-and-do-you-need-one): what the file is, what it cannot do, what belongs in one for a small business, and how to check whether you have a working one. - [How to explain AI findability to your clients](/guides/how-to-sell-ai-findability-to-your-clients): for freelancers and small agencies, the numbers that make the case, the fixes that live in the build, and how to show a client the problem live. ## Removal Any business listed on an edition page may request removal by emailing hello@theanswerreport.com. We take the entry down promptly, no reason required. Removal also withdraws any award seal earned on that edition. ## Contact Email: hello@theanswerreport.com
